This week's question:
When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?
My answer:
I don't just read a book because it is really popular - it also has to sound interesting. I try to watch what I read and don't read that many mainstream books.
I did read The Hunger Games series because a fellow blogging friend recommended it (and I did enjoy it). The only other books I've recently read that may be considered "viral" were Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth. :)
Even in the Christian genre, I haven't read some of the "viral" books (i.e. The Shack, Heaven is for Real) and won't because they don't sound like good books (in my opinion).
So, in answer to this question, no, I don't normally rush out to read a "viral" book. :)
