Book Blogger Hop: What book series do you never want to see end?

Book Blogger Hop
This week's question:

What book series do you never want to see end?

My answer:

That is an easy question - The River of Time series by Lisa T. Bergren! I absolutely love it! The Patrick Bowers Files by Steven James is another series that I don't want to see end - it is so good! :)

Book Blogger Hop: When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?

Book Blogger Hop
This week's question:

When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?

My answer:

I don't just read a book because it is really popular - it also has to sound interesting. I try to watch what I read and don't read that many mainstream books.

I did read The Hunger Games series because a fellow blogging friend recommended it (and I did enjoy it). The only other books I've recently read that may be considered "viral" were Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth.  :)

Even in the Christian genre, I haven't read some of the "viral" books (i.e. The Shack, Heaven is for Real) and won't because they don't sound like good books (in my opinion).

So, in answer to this question, no, I don't normally rush out to read a "viral" book. :)

Book Blogger Hop: What’s the ONE super-hyped book you’ll NEVER read?

Book Blogger Hop
This week's question:

What’s the ONE super-hyped book you’ll NEVER read?

My answer:

There are actually two books/series that come to mind: Fifty Shades of Gray by E.L. James and The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer (I am NOT a vampire fan). While normally I don't like to say I'll never read a certain book (because you never know how you might feel later), I'm sure those are two I will never read.

Book Blogger Hop! Who is your favorite book character?

Book Blogger Hop

This week's question is:

Who is your favorite book character? I’ll give you a maximum of two choices, but they have to be from different genres!

My answer:

I only need one! Luca Forelli from Lisa T. Bergren's River of Time series (SO EXCITED about Tributary - releasing later this year!!!)

He is SO funny!! If you haven't read the series, but are a fan of YA, you NEED to read it! Seriously it is FANTASTIC!!

Here is a quote from Bourne that I love!

“M’lady,” he said intently, water dripping down over his face too. He leaned down, and for a second, I thought he was going to kiss me. But instead, he touched his forehead to mine. “Dare I believe that you have feelings for me?” he whispered, his lips tantalizingly close.

Which kinda freaked me out.

“You are free to believe what you wish,” I whispered back with a teasing smile, edging away. “There is no law against such things.” I turned back toward the door, intending to go in, but he held it shut, hovering close. Deliciously close again. Teasing me.

“Evangelia,” he said, his lips practically on my ear, his breath tickling my neck. “How long shall you torment me so?”

“That remains to be seen,” I said, smiling up at him from the corner of my eyes.

“Ahh, how you wound me! Such…is the excruciating…pain,” he gasped, pantomiming injury, “of unrequited love.” He stumbled back a step.

Book Blogger Hop: What are the next five books in your TBR (to-be-read) pile?

Book Blogger Hop

This week's question is:

What are the next five books in your TBR (to-be-read) pile? And, don’t worry, you can change your mind and read something different – we won’t check! :)

My answer:

This list is definitely subject to change... but here is what I think are the next five books I'll read (not including the book I'm currently reading - Stardust by Carla Stewart).

Gone to Ground: A Novel

1. Gone to Ground by Brandliyn Collins

2. An Uncommon Grace by Serena B. Miller

3. Loving by Karen Kingsbury

4. Intervention by Terri Blackstock

5. 40: a Novel by Travis Thrasher

So there you have it... the five books I plan on reading next. What books do you plan on reading soon??
